There is a gathering darkness in our nation's capitol. 
Normally darkness is defined as the absence of light, but this darkness goes so much deeper than that, for it is also the absence of morality, a lack of leadership, and an erosion of our very freedom. It is a darkness that can strike fear deep into a person's soul, for this is a darkness that cannot be dispelled by the morning sun. Indeed, every morning we wake to find the problems and dangers have grown ever more frightening, and every night is darker than the night before.

Loose lips sink ships", "The walls have ears", "Speak no evil." Many are the phrases cautioning speaking out and many have been the time that it was not good to speak for your safety or that of your nation. What is happening today in Washington does not fit into such a situation. Today our corrupt leaders are simply trying to silence us to promote their own agenda and while Obama protests being compared to Hitler, Stalin and such, those comparisons will continue as long as he continues using the tactics on us that they practiced on their people.

I've heard it said that you never miss something until you lose it, and if Obama, Reid and Pelosi have their way we will lose our first amendment rights and the internet, for silence is what the Ruling Class expects of us. Just a few months ago we all heard the President tell Americans to get out of the way, go sit down, and shut up. Never in the history of this country has any President had the audacity to look down on Americans as though they were peons. The last time anyone tried that they were thoroughly whipped and sent back to England with a message...The message was "We have had enough!" It is beginning to look as though our President needs to receive the very same message.

WORLD WAR III HAS ALREADY BEGUN

I first wrote this essay in my forum on April 9th, 2011.Since then I have periodically updated it with changing events. While originally writing this I was desperately hoping that I was wrong. Unfortunately the events of the last few days, added at the end of this article, have convinced me that I was indeed right. Now, firmly believing that WWlll has already begun, I feel it necessary to at last publish my thoughts.

THE WHITE PLUME OF HONOR

In my opinion the greatest play ever written was "Cyrano de Bergerac" by Edmond Rostand, To those unfamiliar with this great work, you may recognize one famous attribute of the man: An extremely large nose! The ungainly ornament Cyrano followed into a room was his only shame, for there was none in the way he lived his life. This dashing Frenchman of the seventeenth century was a poet, a playwright, a soldier, a famed swordsman, a leader of men, and a hopeless romantic. He spent his life alone, never revealing the heart wrenching love he felt for his cousin Roxanne. To him, she was the most beautiful woman in the world, and he the ugliest man. Sadly, it was not until he lay dying that she learned of the boundless love he had kept hidden from her, a love she never had a chance to share.
