The ILLUSION OF SECURITY

First published December 4, 2011

I have read so many posts from friends about being Secure or Non Secure at certain sites. There is a wide spread belief that as long as you have the green lock and https at the top of your window you are secure. Many are also concerned that forum sites are not secure. Let it be known by all that "Secure" is an illusion designed to lull you into a false sense of privacy. I have long said that absolute privacy does not exist on the internet. Here is the proof:

Multi-Billion dollar companies in Europe with their multi-million dollar computer system have NO defense against invasion by the tools of the Patriot Act. It is quite naturally against the laws of many nations for our computer experts and systems to breach computer networks in the nations of our allies, and yet it is done everyday under the guise of national security. Every keystroke that takes place on the internet anywhere in the world is detected and recorded.

I was posting with a friend in Argentina one night and she typed "Obama." Knowing what I know about his page I checked it and sure enough her face, name, link, and comment showed up on his wall for all of her friends to see. Argentina!!! A sovereign nation and a sovereign people, thousands of miles away, and everyone there is monitored in the name of national security. You can neither run nor hide from Big Bro as he knows all and sees all, so the next time you are at your keyboard, just think of how many people are looking over your shoulder. Say hello to the best recorder of all.

Perfect citizen is the real world connection for the rules contained within the Patriot Act, and there is another illusion. We have been led to believe that the PA was written during the Bush administration in response to 911 and other terrorist activities ... more smoke and mirrors to confuse the American public. It dates back to the time of Bill Clinton and was written by none other than Joe Biden. Later ole Joe did a politically correct attack on the PA stating that it was an invasion of privacy by the GOP. Naturally it is still in effect and doing its utmost to "Protect" we the people.

When you start connecting the dots you will find that privacy is an illusion and that our "Public Servants" are the masters in a grand game of cat and mouse. There are a few, very few, in Washington who genuinely have the best interest of the American people at heart. The rest are gaming the system, vying for their moment in the sun, wealth and power, and in spite of the supposed competition we witness, they work fairly well together under one all encompassing plan. That plan was briefly slowed during the administration of Ronald Reagan. Since the day he left office it has been pedal to the metal and the New World Order that Bush the elder spoke of in such glowing terms has grown ever stronger as one by one our rights erode into history.

One litmus test that Americans use to judge the worth of their leader is what bills they sponsored, voted for and against. Every year we are assailed with countless new laws enacted by the House and the Senate. This is a list of the bills and resolutions before Congress in 2010. Look at the list, scroll down and note things such as "And 1934 more", "And 27 more", "And 28 more", "And 337 more." These bills and resolutions do not enhance, but attack the American way of life. If I might suggest a new standard to apply when judging our leaders. How many laws have you had repealed???

Or perhaps we should take a lesson from the past... In ancient Greece they devised a method to avoid the problem of too many laws and revisions. A noose! Anyone who proposed some change in the law had to wear a noose about their neck until the revision was either approved or defeated. If approved, the noose was removed. If defeated the noose was used to hang the perpetrator of an unwanted law. See article seven in this document.

Ah, for the good old days!
